Implant Supported Dentures
As an additional option, we can provide an implant supported denture solution. An implant-supported denture is a type of overdenture that is supported by and attached to implants. Standard dentures rest on the gums and do not have the support afforded by implants. These can be effective as an option if the patient doesn’t have any teeth in the jaw, but has enough bone to support implants. The denture then snaps into attachments for improved stability.
There are limitations compared to implants however, such as they retain the need to remove on a daily basis to clean the area and you should not sleep with an implant supported denture either.
